Chevalier Machinery showcased three machines in Houston. The machines ran test runs February 26-28 at Houstex in the George R. Brown Convention Center. Chevalier experts where there to answer questions in Booth #2334.

FBL-510C MC True Slant Bed CNC Lathe With Box WaysChevalier’s FBL-500 Series is an incredibly versatile machine that is helping manufacturers with a wide range of needs. 45-degree true slant-bed design shortens the distance between the operator and the work piece. The proximity of the chuck, turret, and tailstock to the front of the machine enables the operator to load and unload work pieces with ease. FBL-460 True Slant Bed CNC Lathe With Box WaysThe FBL-460 machine is designed with a 45-degree true slant-bed, rigid box ways structure with torque tube design. The machine is engineered with ease of access and trouble-free maintenance in mind. The series’ structure, ribbed Meehanite cast iron mono-block casting––with hardened and ground hand-scraped slideways, helps resist deflection and vibration during heavy machining and ensures stable end-to-end cutting of long shafts.
